Caliper Paint

Caliper paint in Orange County & Las Vegas.

Costa Mesa, CABy appointment(949) 800-8502

Caliper paint is a small job with a disproportionate effect — colour behind an open-spoke wheel changes how the whole car reads. In Orange County it is shop work; in Las Vegas we do it at your kerb.

Colours

Red, yellow, black, blue, orange, silver and custom matches. The two that come up most: red behind a dark wheel, and black when the goal is to make an ordinary caliper disappear rather than stand out. Black is under-rated — it tidies the look of a car without shouting.

What makes it last

Calipers live in the worst environment on the car: repeated heat cycling to a few hundred degrees, constant brake dust, road salt and water. Three things separate a job that holds up from one that browns and flakes within a year:

Two ways to book it

Best time to do it

While the wheels are already off for repair or powder coating. The labour overlaps almost entirely, so doing both at once costs meaningfully less than booking them separately.

Common questions

How long does caliper painting last?

Years, when it is prepared and coated properly with high-temperature product. Early failure is almost always a prep problem — brake dust and grease left on the caliper — rather than the coating itself.

Can you paint calipers without removing the wheels?

The wheels come off — that is the only way to mask and coat properly. In Las Vegas our mobile unit does this on site with no lift required.

Does caliper paint affect braking?

No, when masked correctly. Nothing goes on the pads, rotor faces, bleed nipples or piston seals. That masking is a safety step, not a cosmetic one.

What colour should I choose?

Red behind a dark wheel is the classic. Black is the quiet option and makes an ordinary caliper disappear. We can also match a specific colour code.
